Nurse Clinician – Community Health (Port St Johns)

About the role

TB HIV Care (THC) is seeking a Nurse Clinician to join its community health team in Port St Johns. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive HIV and TB services, including testing, counselling, treatment initiation, and ongoing case management for high‑risk populations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HIV testing, counselling, and same‑day ART initiation with a focus on adherence and retention.
• Screen clients for TB and STIs, conduct contact tracing, and initiate TB preventive therapy (TPT) when indicated.
• Start and monitor treatment for diagnosed drug‑susceptible TB, ensuring adherence and treatment completion.
• Maintain accurate client records and contribute to community health reporting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve service delivery and health outcomes.

Required profile

• Registered nurse with experience in HIV and TB care.
• Strong commitment to community health and serving vulnerable populations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a solution‑driven team.
• Excellent communication and counselling skills.
