Network and Systems Administrator

About the role

The Network and Systems Administrator will design, implement, and maintain the hospital’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure connectivity for clinical, surgical, and administrative applications. This position is critical to supporting patient care technology and meeting strict healthcare compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, monitor, and support LAN/WAN, firewalls, wireless, and VPN environments.
• Maintain high‑availability networking for EHR, PACS, VoIP, and medical devices.
• Administer Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and authentication services.
• Perform patching, upgrades, backups, and disaster‑recovery operations.
• Implement and manage network security controls, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and support incident response.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements; participate in audits and risk assessments.
• Provide tier‑2/3 support for clinical and surgical applications, acting as an escalation point for complex infrastructure problems.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of combined network and systems administration experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication abilities.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital IT environment is preferred.
