MRP Controller

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented and analytical MRP Controller to manage material requirements planning activities. The role ensures the efficient availability of stock and materials in line with production schedules and customer demands.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain production and housekeeping functions within SAP.
• Communicate with sales, production, warehouse and branch teams to improve customer service.
• Manage and control production orders according to customer requirements.
• Resolve, monitor and expedite outstanding orders.
• Formulate lead times and facilitate optimal material usage.
• Identify delays and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
• Handle STO tonnages for collection from branches.
• Control housekeeping functions in MRP and perform general office administration.
• Prepare drilling programs.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 (Matric); higher certificate/diploma in Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
• At least 3 years experience in the steel industry.
• Minimum 2 years experience in planning or expediting.
• Understanding of process flow and strong PC skills.
• Fluent in English (read, write, speak) with good communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, be a team player and communicate at all organisational levels.
• Basic drawing knowledge.
