Manager – Elderly Care Home

About the role

The Manager will lead Huis de Kuilen, an elderly care home in Kuilsriver, ensuring safe, friendly care for residents and developing community‑based services. Reporting directly to the Governing Board, the role translates strategic vision into daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise nursing care services and maintain high quality standards.
• Oversee financial and human‑resource management, including budgeting and payroll.
• Lead marketing, communication and fundraising initiatives to sustain and expand services.
• Manage assets, facilities and occupational health and safety programmes.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, partners and the wider community.

Required profile

• Post‑matric qualification with proven management experience.
• Ability to lead, motivate teams and resolve problems promptly.
• Knowledge of personnel and financial management, labour legislation, fundraising and marketing.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Understanding of the challenges specific to social care and development work.
