Litigation Attorney

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Litigation Attorney to join our legal team in Pretoria East. The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload in both General and Family Law, providing expert representation and counsel to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with senior partners and support staff to ensure effective case management.

Required profile

• LLB degree from a recognized university.
• 3‑5 years of post‑admission experience in litigation, preferably in General and Family Law.
• Strong analytical and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in legal research tools.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Knowledge of South African civil procedure rules.
