Legal Advisor – Litigation (Financial Services)

About the role

A well‑established financial services investment business is seeking a Legal Advisor specializing in litigation to support post‑investment monitoring, particularly where loan defaults arise.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support for post‑investment monitoring, especially where loan defaults emerge.
• Draft, review and negotiate legal documentation related to corporate finance, structured finance and investment banking transactions.
• Advise internal stakeholders on litigation matters, tax, Companies Act and insolvency issues.
• Assist in turn‑around and restructuring projects, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
• Represent the business in court proceedings and manage litigation processes.

Required profile

• LLB qualification with at least 3 years post‑article experience (3‑5 years litigation and court experience preferred).
• Post‑graduate qualification is an advantage.
• Strong ability to work independently under pressure and deliver accurate legal opinions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
