Leasing Consultant – Commercial Portfolio (Johannesburg)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Leasing Consultant to drive commercial leasing activities across our Johannesburg portfolio. The role is deal‑focused and externally‑facing, requiring ownership of opportunities from prospecting to lease execution.

Key responsibilities

• Source and convert leasing opportunities through cold calling, networking, advertising and social media.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with brokers, tenant networks and key contacts.
• Negotiate and finalise lease agreements with new and existing brands to achieve optimal financial outcomes.
• Improve the lease profile by targeting suitable tenants, longer terms and stronger covenant quality.
• Provide market feedback, vacancy insights and lead intelligence to support marketing initiatives.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of commercial leasing experience covering retail, office and industrial properties.
• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Property Studies or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Established network of tenants, brokers and property professionals with a passion for relationship building.
• Strong negotiation, time‑management and communication skills with a focus on follow‑through.
• Comfortable using technology and open to AI or automation tools for prospecting and deal tracking.
