Learning Solutions Consultant

About the role

McGraw Hill is seeking a Learning Solutions Consultant to drive growth in higher education across Gauteng and the broader region. You will combine consultative selling with deep product knowledge to help institutions adopt digital and print learning solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, engage and convert new university customers, delivering a 60% focus on new sales development.
• Build and nurture relationships with academics, department heads and e‑learning leaders.
• Conduct weekly outreach activities, including calls, meetings and product demos.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to win new business.
• Maintain and expand existing accounts, collaborating with customer‑success teams to ensure product adoption.
• Manage the sales pipeline in Salesforce, using data insights to refine strategies.
• Travel for face‑to‑face meetings, conferences and industry events throughout Gauteng and beyond.

Required profile

• Proven success in sales or business development, preferably in education, EdTech, SaaS or related sectors.
• Experience selling digital, online or print learning solutions.
• Ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
• Self‑starter with strong initiative, persistence and relationship‑building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and digital platforms.
