Junior Travel & Transport Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Travel & Transport Consultant to join Discover Africa Group in Cape Town. You will help international travelers choose the right vehicle for self‑drive adventures across Africa, providing expert advice and ensuring a smooth booking experience.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to rental enquiries, offering personalized vehicle recommendations based on itinerary and needs.
• Process bookings accurately, manage payments, and handle special requests such as cross‑border travel or additional equipment.
• Prepare and issue travel documentation, and manage cancellations, refunds and customer queries.
• Provide concierge‑level support from booking through vehicle return, resolving complaints and unexpected issues efficiently.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of bookings and client interactions.
• Participate in rotational after‑hours or weekend duty and support the team with additional tasks as required.

Required profile

• Passion for travel and adventure, especially African self‑drive experiences.
• Experience or strong interest in the tourism industry and understanding of international traveller needs.
• Results‑driven, proactive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Tourism diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
