Junior Reservations Agent

About the role

Reservations Agents are responsible for selling rooms and services at Cape Grace, ensuring every guest’s stay becomes a memorable experience. As an ambassador for the hotel and the Fairmont brand, you will provide engaging telephone and email service that reflects the exceptional standards of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Handle accommodation bookings, respond to enquiries via phone and email, and quote appropriate rooms and rates.
• Arrange special requests, activities, and group bookings, ensuring accurate information and exceeding guest expectations.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and operating hours to answer queries confidently.
• Capture and maintain data in the operating system, manage deposit payments, and coordinate with accounts and front office.
• Collaborate with all departments to deliver the highest level of guest service and adhere to health & safety policies.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent; hospitality management qualification is a strong recommendation.
• Previous experience in reservations or customer service is advantageous.
• Fluent English (verbal, written, reading); additional language is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and sales abilities, with the capacity to work in a fast‑changing environment.

Required skills

• Opera Property Management System.
• Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level).
• Familiarity with TARS (advantageous).
