Junior Buyer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Buyer to manage decoration requirements, raw‑material scheduling and supplier relationships for both on‑site and off‑site production facilities. The role supports the production and planning teams by ensuring timely material availability and accurate stock information.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and expedite all decoration requirements for production facilities.
• Issue daily schedules for raw‑material requirements.
• Provide decoration stock updates to customers and the sales team.
• Monitor slow‑moving and dead stocks and maintain back‑order reports.
• Manage quality incidents with suppliers, including defective stock and colour variations.
• Negotiate pricing with decoration suppliers and coordinate with sales representatives.
• Oversee artwork changeovers and maintain the artwork file and register.
• Monitor monthly stock levels against business parameters and advise production of any exceptions.
• Report supplier OTIF performance.

Required profile

• Supply Chain or Commercial degree (essential).
• 2–3 years buying experience in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Excellent numeracy, planning and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail, self‑discipline and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and make tough decisions.
