IT Technician & Security Systems Specialist

About the role

ABC Security is seeking a reliable IT Technician with strong networking and CCTV expertise to join its technical team. You will support both IT infrastructure and advanced security systems, ensuring seamless operation across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑ and second‑line IT troubleshooting and technical support.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot local and routed networks.
• Install, configure and integrate CCTV systems, IP modules and link them to control rooms.
• Perform fault finding and maintenance on servers, hardware and software.
• Review CCTV footage when required.
• Install, configure and maintain Windows and Linux based systems.
• Support peer‑to‑peer monitoring software and general hardware/software across the organisation.
• Be on 24/7 standby for critical support.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong experience in IT troubleshooting and fault finding.
• Solid understanding of local and routed networks, hardware & software configuration.
• Hands‑on experience with CCTV installations, configuration and IP systems.
• Experience with MikroTik devices and network security concepts.
• Valid driver’s licence and PSIRA registration (essential).
• Relevant accredited training or qualifications in networking, hardware or software.
