IT Administrator – Remote (South Africa)

About the role

Oraion is looking for its first dedicated IT Administrator to own and professionalise all IT operations. Working remotely from South Africa, you will enable the engineering team to focus on product development by handling device management, access controls, onboarding/off‑boarding, endpoint security and internal support.

Key responsibilities

• Roll out and manage a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution across all company devices.
• Own end‑to‑end onboarding and off‑boarding, provisioning and revoking devices, accounts and tools.
• Enforce Single Sign‑On (SSO) and Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA) for all SaaS applications and deploy 1Password company‑wide.
• Deploy and maintain endpoint security, including EDR, disk encryption and patching SLAs.
• Build and maintain an auditable asset inventory of hardware and software licenses.
• Implement Tailscale for zero‑trust networking where applicable.
• Manage all IT‑related SOC 2 controls to keep them audit‑ready.
• Provide internal IT support, creating self‑service documentation and a knowledge base.
• Conduct SaaS license audits and optimise usage on a quarterly basis.
• Standardise hardware lifecycle management, from procurement to retirement.
• Support sales scaling by ensuring new sales hires have all tools and access on day 1.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in IT administration or a similar role.
• Practical experience with MDM platforms such as Jamf, Intune or JumpCloud.
• Strong background with SSO/IdP providers like Okta, Google Workspace or Azure AD.
