Investment Specialist – Fund Manager

About the role

Position open to all races! We are looking for three Investment Specialists – two based in Sandton and one in Cape Town. The role drives investment growth, product positioning and franchise enablement through deep investment expertise, structured support and targeted training. Working within the technical marketing team, you will support Business Consultants, Independent Financial Advisers and tied advisers, focusing on activating new IFAs to confidently position and sell investment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively activate new IFAs, identify barriers to entry and provide tailored specialist support.
• Partner with Business Consultants and relationship managers to reactivate dormant or low‑activity IFAs.
• Leverage product and fund expertise to guide IFAs on selection, positioning and client conversations.
• Track IFA activation progress and identify opportunities to deepen engagement and increase investment flow.
• Identify new business and growth opportunities across franchises and conduct book and quote system analysis.
• Support low‑activity IFAs and tied advisers with targeted engagement strategies.
• Provide specialist investment insights to Business Consultants, agents and IFAs, enabling confident solution positioning.
• Deliver high‑touch support to priority advisers and key franchise relationships.
• Support rollout of new products and funds, creating repeatable positioning frameworks.
• Design and deliver structured investment training aligned to technical marketing strategy.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent NQF.
• Strong investment knowledge and technical understanding.
• Solid client‑facing experience.
• Sound understanding of the investment landscape, including funds, performance analysis and portfolio construction.
• Experience with LISP platforms.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience.
