Imports & Supply Administrator

About the role

The Imports & Supply Administrator will coordinate and administer import and supply‑chain activities for a multinational fertilizer client. The role ensures efficient movement, receipting, invoicing and tracking of products across the supply‑chain network while maintaining compliance with company procedures and import regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Create, issue and monitor purchase orders in SAP, following up with suppliers and transporters to ensure timely delivery.
• Administer import purchase orders, communicate with Dubai office and clearing agents, and maintain accurate import tracking information.
• Process stock receipts, transfers and bulk/container shipments between plants, warehouses and voyage locations.
• Handle invoicing for third‑party plants, CFR sales and wholesale orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain physical Bill of Lading documentation and ensure all import paperwork complies with operational requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers, clearing agents, warehouses and internal stakeholders to resolve supply‑chain issues and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) essential; minimum BCom degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.
• Valid South African ID or passport, driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (written and verbal).
• 2–3 years’ experience in a supply‑chain or logistics environment (advantageous).
• SAP experience and strong computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) are advantageous.
