HR Manager – South Africa

About the role

Responsible for operational HR delivery aligned with business and HR strategy in South Africa, providing advice, coaching and support to managers across the employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and support people managers on performance, development, reward and talent processes.
• Facilitate workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations and local restructuring.
• Partner with regional Centres of Excellence to deliver learning, talent calibration and engagement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws, manage union and works council relations, and support internal audits.
• Drive operational excellence by standardising HR processes and promoting use of self‑service tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of HR generalist experience.
• Native fluency in the local language and fluent English (written and spoken).
• Strong interpersonal, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment and travel when needed.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HR operating models, employee lifecycle management and labour relations.
• Experience with HR self‑service tools and collaboration with HR Centres of Excellence.
