HR Intern – Johannesburg (6‑Month Internship)

About the role

Media24 is seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join its Human Resources team as an HR Intern in Johannesburg for a six‑month period. The role offers exposure to a fast‑paced retail environment, allowing the intern to support HR functions while contributing to sales‑driven initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in achieving monthly and annual sales targets by supporting recruitment and staffing for retail events and launches.
• Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to help maintain brand standards and hygiene requirements.
• Support stock merchandising, report out‑of‑stock items, and help prevent stock loss.
• Deliver an exceptional client experience by providing cosmetics services, product demonstrations, and personalized beauty advice.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth store operations and uphold company values.
• Maintain daily tracking sheets, CRM processes, and retail reports as required.

Required profile

• Matric certificate.
• Minimum three years of cosmetics experience in a retail setting, preferably with make‑up artistry.
• Certificate in Beauty/Make‑Up is advantageous.
• Strong team player, active learner, and problem‑solver.
• Willingness to work weekends and shifts as needed.
• Own transport.
