HR Intern

About the role

We are looking for an HR Intern to perform various administrative tasks and support our HR department’s daily activities.

Key responsibilities

• Update internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms.
• Prepare HR‑related reports as needed.
• Participate in organizing company events and career days.
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes for new hires.
• Cross‑collaborate with the team to enhance departmental operations.
• Maintain an effective filing system and keep the internal HR database up to date.
• Assist with the annual BBB‑EE audit process.
• Support the implementation of organisational development and employee wellness initiatives.
• Help the HR Manager and Transformation Executive with ad‑hoc projects.
• Receive HR‑related queries and direct employees to the appropriate team member.

Required profile

• A minimum N6/Diploma/Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team and manage individual assignments.
• Capacity to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Understanding of South African labour laws such as BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA and BBB‑EE.
