Hotel Travel Desk Agent/Concierge

About the role

The President Hotel is looking for an experienced Hotel Travel Desk Agent/Concierge to enhance guest experiences beyond the lobby. The role involves coordinating transport, tours, excursions and personalised travel arrangements for guests staying in Cape Town.

Key responsibilities

• Assist guests with airport transfers, shuttle services, car hire, tours and other local travel needs.
• Liaise with trusted tour operators, transport providers and suppliers to ensure seamless experiences.
• Provide accurate destination advice, recommendations and tailor itineraries.
• Manage bookings, confirmations, amendments and cancellations efficiently.
• Handle guest enquiries via email, telephone and in‑person with a professional demeanor.
• Record all travel bookings and communicate details to relevant hotel departments.
• Maintain clear daily reports, handovers and resolve guest concerns promptly.
• Support Front Office and Concierge teams as required.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a hotel travel desk, concierge or front office role.
• Strong knowledge of Cape Town attractions, tours and transport logistics.
• Experience in a 4‑star or 5‑star hotel environment.
• Excellent communication, organisational and administrative abilities.
• Professional presentation and grooming.

Required skills

• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel reservation systems.
