Hostess – Guest Reception & Seating (Hourly)

About the role

The Vineyard Hotel is seeking enthusiastic Hostesses to join our guest‑facing team across various food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, lounges, and event spaces. This hourly‑paid role involves welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements while delivering the high‑standard service expected at a 4‑star property.

Key responsibilities

• Handle bookings and manage the reservation system efficiently.
• Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and coordinate seating across multiple outlets.
• Collaborate with restaurant, room service, lounge, and conference teams to support seamless operations.
• Maintain a tidy and professional front‑of‑house environment.

Required profile

• Matric Certificate (or equivalent).
• Relevant experience in a 4‑star or comparable hospitality environment.
• Ability to work flexible shifts across different functions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a neat, professional appearance.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Micros POS system.
• Experience operating Speedpoint machines.
