Guest Arrival Expert / Porter (Hotel)

About the role

The Guest Arrival Expert/Porter welcomes guests, escorts them to their rooms, handles luggage, provides information about hotel amenities and local attractions, and arranges transportation as needed, ensuring a smooth and memorable first impression.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests to their rooms, opening doors and assisting with entry and exit.
• Inform guests about property amenities, services, operating hours, and nearby points of interest.
• Transport luggage to and from guest rooms or the bell desk, and manage storage and retrieval of bags.
• Assist guests with vehicle entry and exit, loading and unloading luggage, and arrange taxis, shuttles, or limousine services.
• Communicate parking procedures, maintain safety and security protocols, and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance, and protect guest and company confidentiality.
• Respond to emergencies, follow evacuation procedures, and support guests with disabilities according to hotel guidelines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lb unaided and up to 75 lb with assistance.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, or jog for an entire shift and navigate stairs, ramps, and uneven surfaces.
• Clear, professional communication skills in English.
• Commitment to safety, security, and excellent guest service standards.
