General Worker – Traffic Light Maintenance

About the role
The General Worker provides physical support to the Roads and Transport team, assisting with maintenance and construction of traffic light systems at various signalised intersections.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the traffic signal technician, senior operator, operator and assistant operator in their daily tasks.
- Perform general labour including concrete work, storm‑water system work, road building, road marking and tar patching.
- Work on traffic signs and lights, including handling of robotic equipment.
- Operate and handle vehicles and related equipment on site.
Required profile
- Physical strength to work on signalised intersections in uncomfortable conditions and extreme temperatures.
- Basic literacy and ability to perform duties safely.
- Relevant experience in construction or traffic‑light environments (advantageous).
- Willingness to undergo a criminal record check and provide fingerprints at own cost.
