About the role
Ideas Cartel is seeking a Front of House Manager to lead daily front‑desk operations in its boutique hotel and coworking environment in Cape Town. This full‑time, on‑site position is central to delivering the luxury experience the brand promises to its guests and members.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee front desk activities, ensuring smooth check‑in/check‑out and guest services.
- Supervise, schedule, and mentor front‑of‑house staff.
- Deliver training programs to maintain high service standards.
- Support food and beverage operations, coordinating with kitchen and service teams.
- Promote sales initiatives, membership packages, and upsell opportunities.
- Maintain service excellence and uphold the brand’s luxury standards.
Required profile
- Strong communication and customer‑service abilities.
- Experience in food & beverage management.
- Proven track record in training and mentoring staff.
- Demonstrated sales skills to drive revenue.
- Leadership, problem‑solving, and hands‑on management style.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask in a high‑pressure setting.
- Previous experience in hospitality or luxury service environments is advantageous.
