Front Desk Coordinator – Urology

About the role

The Front Desk Coordinator will be the first point of contact for patients visiting our urology practice. You will provide courteous service over the phone and in‑person while handling sensitive medical information with sound judgement.

Key responsibilities

• Greet callers and in‑office patients warmly and answer calls within three rings.
• Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments using the EMR system while accurately updating demographics and insurance information.
• Maintain and regularly update scheduling systems to ensure patient records are complete and can be used for staffing analysis.
• Communicate patient concerns to providers, office manager, and other staff as needed.
• Perform clerical duties such as faxing medical records and handling travel between multiple practice locations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (required); associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two to three years of experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume medical office.
• Self‑starter with strong multitasking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Professional and positive attitude when dealing with patients and staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a multi‑line phone system.
• Experience using an EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system.
• General computer skills for scheduling and record‑keeping.
