Flexi Sales & Customer Associate – Thabong Shopping Centre

About the role

The Flexi Sales & Customer Associate works on the showroom floor of Thabong Shopping Centre, delivering an exceptional in‑store experience and converting visitor interest into sales. You will support the Store Supervisor and Showroom Manager in meeting sales targets while ensuring high standards of customer service and operational compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers, understand their needs and convert interactions into sales through effective product demonstration and clear communication of features, benefits, pricing and promotions.
• Guide customers through the full purchase journey, including product selection, order entry, payment processing, refunds and after‑sales support, escalating complex issues when required.
• Maintain accurate product knowledge, pricing and catalogue information to ensure quoting and selling are precise.
• Capture orders and related documentation accurately, keep system entries up‑to‑date and support reporting and audit requirements.
• Assist with basic stock handling, floor replenishment and visual merchandising while adhering to stock control procedures.
• Follow cash‑handling, compliance and quality policies, participating in required training and reporting any risks or non‑compliance.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve showroom targets, support promotions and be flexible with shift, weekend and public‑holiday schedules.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• At least 1 year of retail sales experience, preferably in a target‑driven environment.
• Customer‑facing sales experience with a strong service mindset.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Homeware retail experience is an advantage.
• Clear credit and criminal record.
