Financial Controller (CA(SA)) – Pretoria

About the role

Our client is seeking a qualified CA(SA) to join a fast‑paced operational environment in Pretoria as a Financial Controller. Reporting directly to the Financial Director, the role focuses on financial administration, reporting, reconciliations, budgeting support, and ensuring accuracy and compliance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and management of financial reports.
• Process and review financial transactions accurately and timely.
• Support the production of monthly management accounts and reporting.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Support audits and provide required financial documentation.
• Coordinate with various departments regarding financial information and reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
• Assist the Financial Manager with daily financial operations and ad‑hoc duties.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve financial inconsistencies promptly.

Required profile

• Relevant BCom degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Qualified CA(SA) chartered accountant.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a Financial Controller or similar accounting role.
• Strong organisational, coordination and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
