About the role
Accurately control and process financial information, including reporting and analysis, to enable interpretation of financial data and support business decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare consolidated financial reports and analyses that add value and insight for the business.
- Review and approve general ledger journal entries, ensuring appropriate authority and policy compliance.
- Manage reimbursement processes, expense journal approvals, and reconcile expenses to financial statements and budgets.
- Perform bank statement reconciliations and maintain general ledger controls in line with relevant standards.
- Update and maintain the fixed assets register and recommend improvements.
- Identify expense variances, investigate root causes, and provide financial insights.
- Advise stakeholders and non‑financial managers on finance‑related matters and support forecasting activities.
- Resolve client queries, maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and meet service level agreements.
Required profile
- BCom Accounting or Financial Management degree (essential).
- Registered chartered accountant with SAICA (desirable).
- 3–5 years experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role (essential).
- Knowledge of applicable legislation, IFRS requirements, and ethical best‑practice guidelines.
