Financial Accountant

About the role

An established, fast‑paced organisation in Johannesburg North is seeking a motivated Financial Accountant. The role offers exposure across the full finance function, including reporting, reconciliations and operational finance, while working closely with management and leading a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Oversee reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial records.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management activities.
• Manage and mentor two direct reports within the finance team.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end reporting processes.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting or Finance (essential).
• Minimum 2 years experience in a financial accounting role.
• Exposure to full‑function accounting and reporting.
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting systems/software.
