Financial Accountant – Beverage Production

About the role

The beverage group in the Cape Winelands is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its finance team in Stellenbosch. This role offers hands‑on experience across financial reporting, inventory control, statutory compliance and foreign exchange administration within a fast‑moving production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process month‑end journals, perform balance‑sheet and bank reconciliations, and maintain the fixed‑asset register.
• Prepare and submit VAT, EMP201 and quarterly Stats SA returns.
• Manage stock control, execute system adjustments and coordinate stock‑takes across operational sites.
• Administer incoming foreign funds and handle treasury‑related banking tasks.
• Calculate staff sales commissions and support wage processing.
• Reconcile daily retail and direct‑to‑consumer cash‑ups.
• Support annual audit preparation, B‑BBEE reporting and finance system integration projects.

Required profile

• Financial Accounting Diploma or BCom with SAIPA registration.
• 3–5 years of corporate finance experience.
• Experience in beverage, FMCG, agricultural or manufacturing sectors is preferred.
• Own reliable transport.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (advantageous).

What we offer

• Salary range R35,000 – R40,000 per month.
• 18 days annual leave plus a December/January shutdown.
