About the role
The Finance Manager will support the Head of Finance (VAS and Cellular) in ensuring the finance function operates effectively within the division. The role provides accurate financial reporting, analysis and insight to aid business decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review accurate financial reports, budgets and forecasts for the division and group.
- Review monthly income and expenditure, produce management reports and presentations for meetings.
- Own divisional budgets, forecasts and PowerPoint presentations for directors.
- Perform journal and balance‑sheet reconciliations to ensure IFRS compliance and prepare year‑end information.
- Support finance business partners and heads of business with performance analysis and ad‑hoc reporting.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, other TFG groups and suppliers.
- Drive automation, lead finance‑related system and process improvement projects.
- Manage, coach and develop finance team members.
Required profile
- B.Com or equivalent; CA(SA) or CIMA advantageous.
- 3–5 years of finance management experience, preferably in trading or retail.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures, IFRS and financial reporting.
- Strong project management and business communication skills.
- Resilient, well‑organised and innovative mindset.
