Finance & Insurance Assistant – Vehicle Dealership

About the role

The Finance & Insurance (F&I) Assistant will support the F&I Manager at a busy vehicle dealership in Johannesburg. This role ensures smooth processing of finance applications, compliance documentation, and customer communication throughout the sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit finance applications, verify KYC/POPI and deal documentation.
• Load deals into the dealership management system (DMS) and bank portals.
• Follow up with banks for approvals, shortfalls, and ensure timely payouts.
• Draft contracts, arrange signatures, and explain VAPS (warranties, service plans, insurance add‑ons) to customers.
• Reconcile payouts, invoice vehicles, and monitor delivery timelines.
• Maintain compliance files and compile daily, weekly, and month‑end reports.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in dealership finance or administrative support.
• Experience within the motor industry (e.g., VW, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia).
• Valid South African driver’s licence, Grade 12, and clear credit and criminal record.
• Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and handle high volume.

Required skills

• Proficiency with dealership DMS/CRM systems (e.g., Kerridge/Autoline, Evolve/Drive).
• Experience using bank portals such as Signio.
• Strong computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
