Face-to-Face & Telemarketing Officer (Fundraising)

About the role

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is seeking a dynamic Face-to-Face & Telemarketing Officer to lead external fundraising agencies in South Africa. You will be responsible for driving donor acquisition and retention, ensuring that fundraising activities align with MSF’s humanitarian values and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as MSF’s on‑site representative for field and agency operations, building relationships and conducting regular site visits.
• Design and deliver engaging training sessions, observe pitches, refine scripts, and implement quality‑assurance frameworks.
• Track performance metrics such as conversion rates, retention, and ROI; produce reports and collaborate with digital, BI, and retention teams.
• Enforce compliance with brand guidelines, ethical standards, and data‑protection regulations (PoPIA); conduct audits and resolve donor complaints.
• Manage contracts, invoices, logistics, dashboards (e.g., Salesforce), and procurement for agency renewals.
• Share insights to improve campaigns, integrate systems, and identify innovative fundraising techniques.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in direct sales, fundraising or telemarketing.
• Strong leadership, motivational and analytical abilities.

• Monthly salary of R30 447.00.
