About the role

To deliver safe, basic nursing care according to Scope of Practice.

Key responsibilities

Deliver basic nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety
Contribute to a positive patient experience by assisting in the creation of a therapeutic environment
Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence
Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charted

Required profile

Higher certificate in nursing (or equivalent)
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses for specific speciality areas (desired)
No prior experience required; 1 year post‑qualification experience is desirable

Required skills

Infection prevention and control
Basic Life Support
Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
Knowledge of regulations regarding the Scope of Practice for Nurses and Midwives
Relevant nursing legislation
Scientific nursing process
Risk identification
Nursing procedures
Patient observation skills
