Enrolled Nurse - Paediatrics

About the role

Mediclinic Cape Gate is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to provide safe, quality nursing care in the Paediatrics department, working within the Scope of Practice.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team.
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.

Required profile

• Essential education: Enrolled Nurse Certificate (desired CPD courses for specialised wards).
• Essential experience: None (desired 1 year post‑qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit).

Required skills

• Basic life support trained.
• Infection prevention and control.
• Pharmacology knowledge.
• Computer literate – Microsoft Office.
• Patient assessment and nursing care plan skills.
