Electrical Proposals Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Electrical Proposals Engineer to develop accurate and competitive technical and commercial proposals for electrical engineering projects. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers and clients to deliver winning tender submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse tender documents, RFQs and client specifications.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for electrical projects.
• Develop detailed cost estimates, pricing schedules and bid documentation.
• Liaise with engineering, procurement, project management and commercial teams to gather inputs.
• Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate pricing.
• Ensure proposals meet client requirements, industry standards and company procedures.
• Identify project risks and recommend value‑engineered solutions.
• Participate in tender clarification meetings and client presentations.
• Maintain accurate proposal records and support business development activities.

Required profile

• National Diploma, BTech or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of LV/MV electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, PLCs and distribution networks.
• Experience in EPC, construction, industrial, mining, power or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical, commercial and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence.
