Distribution Team Leader

About the role

The Distribution Team Leader is responsible for executing delivery plans, ensuring distribution standards are met, and optimizing overall performance. This role combines operational oversight, financial control, and people management to deliver a safe, efficient, and customer‑focused distribution service.

Key responsibilities

• Execute delivery plans and achieve distribution standards.
• Optimize distribution performance and customer service.
• Control budgets, monitor shortages, and process immediate invoices.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and risk‑free working environment.
• Perform administrative duties to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Manage human resources, including performance development and team collaboration.
• Optimize team performance and manage owner‑driver relationships.
• Track and report on KPIs such as On‑Time Delivery Rate, Distribution Standards Compliance, Shortage & Inventory Accuracy, Customer Satisfaction Score, Safety Incident Rate, and Budget Adherence.

Required profile

• Proven experience in delivery and distribution management.
• Strong ability to control budgets and manage inventory shortages.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and risk‑free operations.
• Effective leadership and people‑management skills, with experience overseeing driver teams.
