About the role
As a Distribution Sales Manager you will be responsible for driving sustainable growth of Atlas Copco General Industry products across Southern Africa. You will work closely with distribution partners and end‑users to expand market share and deliver superior customer value.
Key responsibilities
- Drive sales of all Atlas Copco General Industry products through existing and new distribution partners in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
- Appoint, develop and monitor the performance of distribution partners.
- Manage the full sales cycle with partners – from opportunity identification to proposal, negotiation and order closure.
- Engage end‑users to promote preference for Atlas Copco solutions.
- Maintain regular contact with distributors via visits, calls and correspondence.
- Update sales funnel and activity data in Salesforce.
- Implement the regional strategic growth plan and focus on key customers and market segments.
- Provide technical support, product training and demonstrations to distributors and customers.
- Participate in seminars, exhibitions and other marketing activities.
Required profile
- University degree in Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- Valid driver’s licence and fluency in English.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial sales experience working with distribution and channel partners.
- Good knowledge of general industry markets; experience with assembly tools and fastening is a plus.
- Strong organisational, planning and follow‑up abilities.
