Designated Agent – Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Designated Agent to join our client’s compliance team in the Cape Town region. The role blends site inspections, case management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure adherence to industry agreements and labour standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site visits, inspections and compliance audits across manufacturing facilities.
• Manage case investigations and prepare assessments for claims.
• Issue compliance orders when required.
• Facilitate mediations and conciliations related to industry agreement compliance.
• Provide education and training on labour conditions and collective agreements.
• Document, capture and maintain accurate records on relevant systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective case management.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) and a relevant degree or postgraduate diploma in Business Management, Human Resources or Finance Management.
• Valid driver’s licence with own vehicle and residence in Paarl.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (non‑negotiable).
• Basic computer skills.
• Minimum three years of experience in HR/ER functions, including disciplinaries and CCMA processes.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
