Cybersecurity Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to join a UK‑based employer remotely from South Africa. You will help protect systems, networks and data by monitoring security events, responding to incidents and supporting vulnerability management.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security platforms, manage alerts and coordinate incident response.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments, penetration‑testing support and risk analysis.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, audits and compliance documentation.
• Use SIEM, endpoint protection and threat‑intelligence tools to detect and investigate threats.
• Support security awareness training and contribute to policy development.
• Identify opportunities to improve the organisation’s security posture.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis or a related IT security role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Experience with UK‑based clients is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SIEM platforms.
• Experience using endpoint protection software.
• Familiarity with threat‑intelligence tools.
• Knowledge of network monitoring technologies.
