Consumables Sales Representative – Johannesburg

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Consumables Sales Representative to manage and grow our client base across Africa. The role is based in Johannesburg with the head office in Heidelberg, Gauteng, and requires regular travel to meet customers.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers.
• Support internal sales and project teams by preparing quotes and information.
• Achieve agreed‑upon sales targets and generate new business.
• Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and develop new accounts.
• Plan and organise daily schedules for customer visits.
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues and providing solutions.
• Submit activity reports, daily call logs, weekly work plans and monthly analyses.
• Coordinate internal activities to meet customer commitments.

Required profile

• Matric or engineering‑related qualification (advantageous).
• Proven sales experience, preferably in the packaging industry.
• Excellent communication, organisational and people skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work without supervision and driven to meet targets.
• Neat, well‑presented with a valid driver’s licence.

What we offer
