Community Advisor – Alternative Channels

About the role

The Community Advisor – Alternative Channels will deliver an exceptional customer experience by understanding client needs, recommending tailored financial solutions, and guiding customers to the most appropriate service channels, including e‑channels and self‑service options. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term position based at the FNB Pick ’n Pay Initiative in Worcester.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Provide a positive, helpful experience that meets transactional needs.
• Communicate processes and requirements clearly and simply.
• Ensure compliance with banking rules, policies and FAIS regulations.
• Educate customers on the correct digital banking platforms for their needs.
• Analyse customer data to recommend tailored financial solutions and drive sales.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification: Grade 12 / NQF Level 4; preferred NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service or related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in customer‑facing roles within financial services.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to guide customers toward digital and self‑service solutions.
• High accuracy, strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
