Commercial Accountant – Fast‑Track Leadership Programme

About the role

RCL FOODS is looking for a Commercial Accountant to join its fast‑track development programme. The role offers hands‑on exposure to finance, operations and commercial decision‑making within a leading South African food manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse revenue, cost of sales and overheads to generate commercial insights for the business.
• Support short‑ and long‑term business planning, forecasting and management reporting.
• Develop and maintain complex costing models to assess product, category, channel and customer profitability.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain functions and contribute to best‑in‑class initiatives and projects.
• Extract and consolidate data from ERP, profitability and BI systems to produce actionable reports.

Required profile

• 4th‑year Senior Associate or Audit Manager with 1–2 years audit experience.
• Strong academic record and keen interest in manufacturing finance.
• Analytical mindset, detail‑oriented and comfortable solving problems.
• Resilient, agile and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, complex environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Cost accounting and management accounting.

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Use of Business Intelligence (BI) tools for reporting.
