About the role
We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Pharmacy Technician to lead our growing clinical/ward technician team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This permanent, full‑time position works closely with medical, surgical and cancer team leads, as well as the Dr Grays and Women & Children’s pharmacy teams.
Key responsibilities
- Shape and develop the clinical/ward technician role, including processes and staffing.
- Supervise, train and mentor staff and students, acting as a role model.
- Participate in audit, research and continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across medical, surgical and oncology services.
- Commit to weekend working as required.
Required profile
- Experienced Pharmacy Technician with strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy practice.
- Excellent people and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusive practice.
Required skills
- Pharmacy Technician certification or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of clinical pharmacy processes and audit methodology.
