Civil & PV Field Construction Supervisor – Renewable Energy Project

About the role

Our client, a global engineering and construction firm, is looking for an experienced Civil & PV Field Construction Supervisor to lead civil and solar field works on a large‑scale solar PV and battery energy storage project in the Northern Cape.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily civil and solar field construction activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and site teams for earthworks, foundations, roads, drainage and related infrastructure.
• Oversee solar PV installation activities and support inspections, testing, punch‑list and project close‑out.
• Monitor progress, produce daily reports, and maintain site records.
• Identify risks, delays or non‑conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to HSE, quality and environmental requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and other disciplines.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of construction supervision experience, preferably on large‑scale renewable‑energy projects.
• Experience in solar PV or power‑plant civil works is highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of South African OH&S and construction regulations.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
