Business Manager – Financial Advisors

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Business Manager to lead a team of Financial Advisors in Centurion, Gauteng. The role focuses on recruiting, developing and supporting advisors to deliver compliant, advice‑based sales while contributing to branch leadership.

Key responsibilities

• People Management – recruit, select, coach and manage performance of financial advisors.
• Sales Management – execute and evaluate business plans, monitor sales, practice management, compliance and risk.
• Financial Management – apply business acumen to budgeting, expense control and financial decision‑making.
• Process Management – oversee existing business processes including client care, financing, administration and outstanding business.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent; FAIS compliant with a Financial Planning certificate (minimum NQF level 5, 120 credits).
• Pass RE5 level 1.
• Preferably 24 months experience as a Financial Advisor and prior sales‑manager experience.
• Accredited on all Old Mutual product lines and strong administrative capabilities.
• Ability to apply the six‑step financial process, handle difficult conversations and coach others.
