About the role
Gartner’s Business Development Executives are responsible for expanding the company’s footprint across the global market. You will build trust‑based relationships with C‑level executives, understand their strategic priorities, and uncover opportunities to deliver value through Gartner’s industry expertise.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with Large Enterprise prospects, ranging from $500 M to $1 B+ in annual revenue.
- Lead the full sales cycle—from initial outreach to contract negotiation and hand‑off to account management.
- Align Gartner insights, guidance, and tools to create compelling value propositions.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of high‑quality opportunities to meet sales KPIs and quota.
- Manage complex, high‑revenue sales across matrixed business environments.
- Own forecasting and account planning on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Required profile
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in complex, intangible sales environments.
- Proven business development or new‑client acquisition experience.
- Demonstrated success selling to or influencing C‑level executives.
- Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to own, manage, and forecast a complex sales process.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
