About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Executive to expand our market presence across multiple sectors, including mining, agriculture, construction, and oil & gas. The role involves driving new business opportunities throughout Africa and delivering sustainable revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries.
  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans to increase revenue.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and cross‑selling.
  • Lead the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients and decision‑makers across Africa.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to spot trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, forecasts, and sales reports.
  • Collaborate with contracts, marketing, legal, and operations teams to ensure successful service delivery.
  • Monitor sales performance, pipeline progress, and revenue targets.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain or related field (MBA advantageous).
  • 5+ years of business development or sales experience in supply chain, logistics, mining or related sectors.
  • 3+ years in a senior management role leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and expanding markets across Africa.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship‑management abilities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Africa.

Required skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with CRM or sales management systems.
