About the role
Our client, a well‑established transport company, is looking for an organised, assertive and proactive individual to coordinate truck breakdowns and ensure repairs are completed promptly and cost‑effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate breakdown assistance, service providers and repairs.
- Follow up urgently with suppliers to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Monitor breakdown costs, check quotations and query unnecessary charges.
- Maintain accurate breakdown records and follow outstanding matters through to resolution.
Required profile
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- At least one year’s experience as a Service Advisor or Breakdown Clerk (beneficial).
- Excellent organisational, coordination and follow‑up skills.
- Strong administration, record‑keeping and numerical abilities.
Required skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle terminology.
- Computer literate.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
