Branch Supervisor & Sales Representative – Richards Bay

About the role

Our client is looking for a hands‑on Branch Supervisor / Sales Representative to lead daily operations of the Richards Bay branch while driving sales of industrial consumables, welding supplies, abrasives, safety gear and equipment rental solutions. The role blends branch management, customer service, stock control and business development in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day branch operations and ensure high‑quality customer service.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the Richards Bay industrial market.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing contractor and industrial customers.
• Promote and sell welding supplies, abrasives, safety equipment and rental solutions.
• Manage stock levels, orders, deliveries and branch administration.
• Prepare quotations, follow up enquiries and achieve sales targets.
• Conduct regular customer visits to uncover growth opportunities.
• Coordinate with suppliers, service teams and the regional office to ensure reliable support.
• Uphold safety, housekeeping and operational efficiency standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial sales, preferably within welding supplies, abrasives or equipment rental.
• Strong customer‑focus with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Excellent organisational, administrative and negotiation skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the region.
• Knowledge of the Richards Bay industrial market is an advantage.
• Proactive, practical and able to work independently.
