About the role

The Branch Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation, profitability, and sales performance of an African Bank branch. The role involves leading a team, driving product sales, and ensuring excellent client service throughout the sales lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Achieve all sales targets and growth objectives, including client acquisition, retention, and reactivation.
  • Promote and sell existing and new bank products, conduct tele‑sales, generate leads, and follow up with prospective clients.
  • Manage loan application processes: capture data, verify documentation, explain terms, and ensure timely communication with clients.
  • Oversee the branch’s profit & loss, budgeting, and expense management.
  • Develop and execute market plans, collaborate with the Trade Area Manager on acquisition strategies, and lead marketing campaigns.
  • Supervise staff, ensuring they meet individual sales and service goals, and conduct regular check‑ins and huddles.
  • Represent the bank in local community organisations to enhance brand visibility and uncover business opportunities.

Required profile

  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets and drive branch growth.
  • Experience supervising staff and managing day‑to‑day branch operations.
  • Strong understanding of loan application procedures and banking products.
  • Capability to manage P&L, budgeting, and expense control.
